Is there an advantage if I book directly at the hotel?

How can I book a room?

Did you know that hotels have to pay high commissions to booking platforms just for arranging the room? Please book directly on our online portal CBooking, which you can reach via our website. You will always get the best daily rate. That’s a promise!

What is the difference between standard, business and superior rooms? 

These are different categories of rooms that differ in terms of size, facilities and price. Superior rooms, for example, not only offer more square metres, but also a larger desk, more seating facilities and a spacious bathroom. In short, the higher the category, the more comfort you enjoy. 

Does the hotel also have suites?

The HOTEL HAVERKAMP offers 10 suites.

The WEINROT SUITE consists of a living room and bedroom as well as two bathrooms and a balcony.

The HAVERKAMP SUITES have a bedroom and a combined living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, each suite has a balcony. The PENTHOUSE also offers a large roof terrace.

What are the HAVERKAMP APARTMENTS?

The HAVERKAMPS APARTMENTS are holiday flats located just a few steps away from the hotel. Each flat offers several rooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a balcony.

What is a non-refundable rate?

With this rate, you commit yourself. You pay 100% of your room rate in advance. A free cancellation is no longer possible. The advantage: you get a discount on your stay. You don’t want to take any risks? Then simply choose the flexible rate.

How can I cancel a room?

Please always cancel your room where you booked it. Unfortunately, we do not have the possibility to cancel bookings from hotel portals ourselves. Please always cancel by e-mail as early as possible.

When is check-in and check-out?

Your room is available from 3 pm and until 11 am on the day of departure.

Where can I park?

We offer several parking spaces outside. Three parking spaces are located in Schleswiger Street (house numbers 14, 23, 30) and one parking space in Prager Street 28.

The car park in Schleswiger Street 23 is directly behind the hotel. Just press the bell on the intercom to have the gate opened.

The parking spaces in Schleswiger Street 14 and 30 are secured with a barrier that can be opened with your room card. When you drive out, the barrier opens automatically as soon as your car approaches.

The parking fee per day is € 10. 
Tip: You can reserve your parking space in advance.

Is the WLAN free of charge?

The Wi-Fi is free of charge for our guests. You will receive your access when you check in.

When is the reception open?

The reception is open 24 hours a day and our staff will be happy to help you. By the way, at the reception you can also get information material about the tourist attractions in Bremerhaven.

What payment options are available?

We accept the following credit cards: American Express, Diners, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB and Visa. You are also welcome to pay in cash or by EC card.

How far is it from the hotel to the main attractions of the seaside city?

The HOTEL HAVERKAMP is located in a quiet side street of the pedestrian zone. Important attractions such as the Climate Science Centre, the German Emigration Centre, the Zoo by the Sea and the City Theatre are within walking distance. The MOIN Outlet & Shopping Center and the Columbus Shopping Center are also just a few minutes’ walk away – as are cinemas, restaurants, cafés and the water. With this in mind: just leave the car behind!

Is the HOTEL HAVERKAMP located on the waterfront?

Bremerhaven is the largest maritime city on the North Sea coast and is located where the Weser flows into the North Sea. Our hotel lies in the city centre, not directly but close to the water – between the Geeste and the Weser to be precise. In both directions it is only a few minutes’ walk until you reach the water.

Can I use the swimming pool and sauna free of charge as a guest?

No matter whether you have booked a hotel room, a suite or an apartment, you can use the wellness area free of charge.

A bathrobe, slippers and large towels are available at our reception. We do this because we only want to wash laundry that has actually been used.

I have a food intolerance. Should I inform the hotel?

You do not tolerate gluten or lactose? It is best to inform us by e-mail a few days before your visit if you would like eat in the restaurant. Then we can make the best possible arrangements for you. By the way, we list the allergens individually on our menu. You can always see immediately whether a main course or a side dish contains a certain allergen. 

I am vegan. Is the hotel prepared for this?

Our chefs do very well without ingredients of animal origin. It helps us if you inform us by e-mail a few days before your visit – of course only if you would like to eat in our restaurant. Then we can adjust well to your wishes.

What is the Karma Kitchen?

KARMA KITCHEN is the name of our self-service bar where you can relax and enjoy a cool drink or a hot beverage, use the free wifi and work in a cosy atmosphere or simply meet for a glass of wine.

The KARMA principle:
You write down on the pad what you take. Later, you pay for everything conveniently together. KARMA will take care of it.

Does the hotel also have an outdoor area?

Relax in green surroundings in the heart of Bremerhaven: Welcome to our leafy inner courtyard, the Pocket Park. Take a seat on various seating options and get a refreshment from the KARMA KITCHEN if you wish. 

Am I allowed to smoke in the hotel?

The HOTEL HAVERKAMP is a non-smoking hotel. However, you can smoke outside in front of the entrances. In addition, there are some smoking areas in the inner courtyard and the suites and apartments all have a balcony.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant as well as in the hotel.

Is the HOTEL HAVERKAMP committed to sustainability?

We live environmental protection by, for example, using LED lighting, solar technology and a cogeneration unit, only switching on the sauna on request, offering vegan-certified hair & body gel with plant-based packaging and handing out bathrobes and sauna towels to you personally instead of washing a lot of unused laundry every day. These are just a few examples of many big and small steps in the right direction.
